Count – The Intimidating Companion
Finally, a new collar is here, perfectly fitting into the collection of my previous designs. This heavy jewel combines my past experience and style with historical dog collars. A key inspiration also came from specific historical slave collars that featured long, protruding rods. What makes the Count truly unique are the long, removable, hand-forged spikes, each 3 inches in length. Their presence is menacing, commanding attention, and the collar dominates more space. The main benefit of the removable spikes is that they could be replaced with different attachments in the future, allowing for versatility and customization.

Material: Mild steel and stainless steel parts. The collar is coated with a clear lacquer to help protect against rust. To ensure its longevity and maintain its appearance, store it in a dry place. Avoid exposure to excessive moisture. Clean the collar with a cloth and apply a thin layer of silicone oil to further prevent rusting and maintain its finish. Regular care will help preserve its durability and beauty.

Backstory
I started to manufacture hand-forged collars in 2014. One day I showed my work to a fellow blacksmith and he would bet the collar was made by CNC. First, I saw it as something offending since I have never used this technology, however, after a second thought, I realised he meant it more as a compliment He must have thought that it was way too precise to be manufactured. He made me think and actually gave me an incentive to do things differently. I have been researching about this technology and found out I could implement it to realise all my ideas I have been collecting while producing handmade collars. The next thing I knew I was buying a book along with a software and fully immersed myself into designing. Shortly after I understood that this technology opened a plenty of new doors for me. And Viscount is an evidence of this great new leap I have taken.
My aim was to create an elegant and functional design thanks to which I can use all the pros of the CNC material cutting. This technology allowed me to achieve a precision of each part that were shaped and riveted to the perfection. It is a blacksmith made item. Even though, the single elements were heated to acquire the scaly texture, the whole product is not hand forged.
